Overdentures Supported by Four Dental Implants
Loose dentures, solved. An overdenture snaps onto four dental implants for a stable, comfortable fit you can eat and speak with confidently — yet still lift out for easy cleaning. It's the sweet spot between a traditional denture and replacing every tooth.

What an implant overdenture actually is
An overdenture looks like a natural full denture, but instead of resting on your gums it clips onto four dental implants anchored in your jaw. Those four points of support hold it firmly while you eat and talk, then release so you can lift it out to clean — the stability of implants with the simplicity of a denture you can take out.
Why four implants?
You can stabilize a lower denture on as few as two implants, but four changes the whole experience: the support is spread evenly, rocking all but disappears, and on an upper denture we can usually remove the bulky plate over the roof of your mouth so food tastes and feels natural again. Four implants are the sweet spot — dramatically more secure than a snap-in on two, and far more affordable than replacing every tooth individually.
What to expect
- A 3-D scan and consultation to confirm you're a candidate and plan the implant positions
- Comfortable placement of four implants — ask about sedation if you're anxious
- A healing period while the implants fuse with the bone; you're never left without teeth
- Your overdenture fitted with snap-in attachments once healing is complete
Rock-solid — but still removable
Day to day it feels secure enough to enjoy foods that loose dentures made impossible. At night you simply take it out, brush it, and rinse the attachment points, then snap it back in each morning. Want a simpler entry option? Ask about snap-in dentures on two implants. Not sure which fits? A quick scan and conversation with Dr. Sameer Aljanedi will point you to the right choice.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is an overdenture supported by 4 dental implants?
It's a full denture that clips onto four dental implants placed in your jaw instead of resting on the gums. The four implants hold it firmly in place for a secure, stable fit — while still letting you remove it for easy cleaning.
How is it different from a regular denture?
A traditional denture rests on the gums and relies on suction or adhesive, so it can rock, slip, and cover the roof of your mouth. An overdenture locks onto four implants, so it stays put, restores far more bite force, lets you taste and feel food better, and helps preserve the jawbone that dentures allow to shrink over time.
Is it removable or fixed in place?
It's removable — you take it out at night to clean it and the attachment points, then snap it back in. The four implants give it a rock-solid hold while it's in, so it feels far more secure than a conventional denture, without the daily upkeep of a permanently fixed set of teeth.
Why four implants instead of two?
Two implants will steady a lower denture, but four spread the support more evenly, all but eliminate rocking, and on an upper denture usually let us cut away the bulky plate over the roof of your mouth. Four implants are the sweet spot — dramatically more secure than a two-implant snap-in, yet far more affordable than replacing every tooth individually.
What does it cost, and do you offer financing?
It costs much less than replacing every tooth with individual implants, and the exact figure depends on your jaw and whether any grafting is needed. We provide a clear written estimate and make it manageable with financing through CareCredit, Cherry, and Sunbit. We also accept most PPO and HMO plans plus Denti-Cal and Medi-Cal.
Am I a candidate if I've worn dentures or have bone loss?
Very often, yes. This treatment is designed for people missing all of their teeth in an arch or struggling with a loose denture. A quick 3-D scan shows whether you have enough bone or would benefit from grafting, and we tailor the plan to your case.
